STEEP ZERO : move your ride forward
steep zero is one of a family of 3 replacement seat posts for your zwift ride. these replacement seat posts:
- help achieve an aero position whilst training on the Zwift Ride
- move your saddle position further forward over the bottom bracket
- steepen the effective seat tube angle (STA) on the zwift ride.
steep zero gives a zero offset position, 25mm further forward than the stock saddle that comes with the zwift ride.
The zwift ride frame is adjustable and suits most riders for indoor training. It’s adjustability means multiple users can utilise the same frame and there’s no need to attach/detach your actual bike. It is compact, quiet and well designed.
For those wanting to train in the aero/time trial/triathalon position, use aero bars or have a shorter stature however the zwift ride can be limiting due to the stock saddle position's fixed 25mm setback which can feel too slack for forward leaning riders.

They are replacement seat posts designed to fit the existing Zwift ride and allows the saddle to be positioned to either:
- STEEP ZERO : Zero offset (25mm forward of existing)
- STEEP 25 : 25mm of forward offset (50mm forward of existing)
- STEEP 50 : 50mm of forward offset (75mm forward of existing)
about steep:
as a regular rider on a zwift ride, I love all of the benefits that it brings. With all of the adjustability for multiple riders and riders of differing styles, it became obvious that one adjustment was lacking - the ability to set up the saddle in a more forward position.
This is very important to allow training in the aero position, if you have installed aero bars. it leads many riders to use their own bike on a smart trainer hence losing out on many of the benefits of the zwift ride.
the design challenge was not easy because of the unique way the seatpost works, but the decision to make a robust attachment that integrates with the zwift seatpost was the way forward.
steep is fabricated in a small Scottish workshop, with all parts and materials sourced from local suppliers. the laser cut steel parts are finished, worked and assembled before being coated with a robust powder coated paint. the design has been adjusted to allow an easier addition or removal of the saddle too, which is always a bit of a tricky operation.

STEEP pre-fitted to a new seatpost :
fully fitted to a new zwift seatpost, ready to slot in to your zwift ride. this is the no fuss option that allows you to keep your existing zwift seatpost for other users, for riding in a more relaxed position or for re-sale.
STEEP without seatpost :
supply of the steep seatpost topper part only. you would fit this to your existing zwift seatpost by removing the existing seatpost topper. this is admittedly a fairly difficult and technical process, with a risk of making the existing seatpost topper unusable again. it may appeal to those of you who are comfortable working on bikes and please see our blog section for a How to guide showing some tips on how to remove the existing topper.
